“Follow your Bliss” is a quote that Karen takes very seriously. She started her journey as an artist at a very young age. Looking at and creating art is as natural to Karen as breathing. Encouraged with family support; she took private art lessons and received her Bachelor of Fine arts degree from University of Massachusetts with a concentration in painting and art history.
She started out as an acrylic painter interested primarily in color and design and has since fine tuned her skills in many different areas. Her acrylic painting subjects are now from visions that occur during her daily meditation. She works with wood assemblage creating “Whimsical Women” sculptures of the female form. Her paintings and sculptures can be found in many different collections. She is currently represented by the James-Ben Studio Gallery in Greeneville, Tennessee.
Karen has also been teaching art for 17 years in many different locations. She received her teaching credentials from East Carolina University and is currently licensed by the state of Tennessee.
Her most recent passion is the idea of combining creativity with technology. She uses her deep creativity and professional color sense and turns it into unique easy to navigate web sites.
